Privacy Policy — PDF Editor Pro

Last updated: August 9, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to PDF Editor Pro, an application developed and operated by Tanibyte ("Tanibyte", "we", "us", or "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Editor Pro collects, uses, stores, protects, and handles information when you use our application and related services.

By using PDF Editor Pro, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Google Account Information

PDF Editor Pro uses Google Sign-In for account authentication. We do not require you to create a separate username and password for your PDF Editor Pro account. When you sign in using Google, we may receive information provided by Google that is necessary to create and maintain your account, such as:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your Google account identifier
  • Your profile information, where provided by Google

We use this information to authenticate you, maintain your account, associate your account with applicable services and files, and provide account-related functionality.

2.2 Images and Files You Select

PDF Editor Pro may request access to images or files on your device when you choose to select them. The application does not automatically access your personal images or files. Access occurs when you explicitly select content through the applicable Android system image picker or file-selection interface.

Depending on the feature you use, selected images and documents may be processed locally on your device or uploaded to our cloud services when you explicitly choose to use a cloud-related feature.

2.3 Cloud Files

If you choose to use our cloud functionality, files that you explicitly upload may be stored on our cloud infrastructure. Cloud files are associated with your authenticated account so that the application can provide you with access to your files. We do not automatically upload files from your device without your action to select or upload them.

3. File Encryption and Password Protection

We take the security of your cloud files seriously. Files stored using our cloud functionality are protected using encryption mechanisms implemented by PDF Editor Pro.

Your chosen password is incorporated into the encryption process used to protect applicable files. We do not store your password as plaintext for the purpose of decrypting your protected files. Because your password is an essential part of protecting your encrypted files, you are responsible for keeping it secure.

Important:

If you permanently lose the password required to decrypt a protected file, we may not be able to recover or decrypt that file for you. Please keep your password safe.

PDF Editor Pro uses cryptographic techniques, including AES-based encryption, together with additional cryptographic parameters to protect applicable cloud files.

4. How We Use Information

We may use information collected through PDF Editor Pro for the following purposes:

  • To create and maintain your PDF Editor Pro account
  • To authenticate you using Google Sign-In
  • To provide PDF creation, editing, organization, and related functionality
  • To provide cloud functionality when you choose to use it
  • To associate cloud files with your account
  • To maintain and operate our services
  • To protect the security and integrity of our services
  • To respond to support requests
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations

5. Information We Do Not Sell

Tanibyte does not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not sell or rent your uploaded documents or files for advertising or marketing purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

PDF Editor Pro may use third-party services to provide certain functionality.

Google Sign-In

We use Google's authentication services to allow you to securely sign in to PDF Editor Pro using your Google account. Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's applicable privacy policies and terms.

Cloud Infrastructure

Cloud files may be stored using third-party cloud infrastructure providers. These providers may process or store information as necessary to provide the underlying infrastructure services. We take reasonable steps to ensure that information handled through our services is protected and used only for legitimate service purposes.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures may include authentication controls, access restrictions, encrypted communication, encrypted file storage, and cryptographic protection of applicable cloud files.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information.

8. Data Retention

We retain account and service information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide PDF Editor Pro's services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Cloud files remain associated with your account until you delete them, delete your account, or they are otherwise removed in accordance with our service practices.

9. Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your PDF Editor Pro account using the account deletion functionality provided within the application or through our designated account-deletion process.

When an account deletion request is processed, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize account information and associated data that we are not required to retain for legal or legitimate business purposes. Deleting your account may result in the permanent loss of associated cloud files and other account-related information.

Important:

Please download or otherwise preserve any files you want to keep before deleting your account. Account and file deletion may be permanent.

10. Device Permissions

PDF Editor Pro may request access to device features necessary to provide specific functionality. The application may use the Android system image picker or file picker so that you can explicitly select images or documents for use within the application. You can manage applicable permissions through your Android device settings.

11. Children's Privacy

PDF Editor Pro is not specifically directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable laws. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

12. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your Google account and authentication credentials secure
  • Keeping any passwords used to protect cloud files secure
  • Ensuring that you have the necessary rights to upload and process files through PDF Editor Pro
  • Reviewing files before uploading them to cloud services

Because encrypted cloud files may depend on your password for decryption, you should maintain a secure backup of passwords necessary to access important files.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to PDF Editor Pro, our services, legal requirements, or our privacy practices. When changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date displayed at the beginning of this Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to review this page periodically for the latest information about our privacy practices.
